The RacerEye is a new, very accurate (see
tech specs) instrument for
measuring the driver’s reaction time. It measures the time from the onset of the yellow lights
to the moment the driver launches the car. This is a true real time measurement of
the driver’s reaction time. |
The RacerEye uses advanced optical technology to watch
the tree and detect the onset of the yellow lights. (see
test photos) |
If you subtract the driver’s reaction time from the time slip
total reaction time the result is the cars reaction time. Knowing the
car's reaction time is
powerful information for tuning a car for quickness and consistency. |
Consistency is the key to winning races. RacerEye
removes the question - "was it the driver or was it the car?", |
Results are displayed on a large four digit liquid crystal display
that is readable in any racing conditions. |
The RacerEye mounts in a full bodied car like a RADAR detector, or
on the roll cage of a dragster. |
The RacerEye is for test and tune purposes only. Sanctioning
bodies (NHRA, IHRA and etc.) will not allow this device in the car during
competition racing. |
